Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that NIFCO KTW, a German automotive supplier of high-quality injection molded components, will locate its U.S. operations in Toccoa, creating 200 jobs and investing $27 million within the first five years.

Nico Wijnberg, project manager on the international investment team at the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), represented the state and partnered with Lonnie Smallwood at Electric Cities of Georgia and Tim Martin at the Stephens County Development Authority.  Read more…

Deal: Sage to put North American HQ in Atlanta

The UK-based technology company to create innovation hub, 400 jobs 

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that Sage, a global leader in business management software for small- to medium-sized businesses and an FTSE 100 company based in the United Kingdom, will establish its North American headquarters and an innovation hub in Atlanta. This will result in the creation of 400 jobs over the next few years.  

 Mary Ellen McClanahan, Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) project manager and director of entrepreneur and small business development, assisted Sage on behalf of Georgia and partnered with Kevin Johnson of Invest Atlanta, Brenda Robbins of Georgia Power, Gregg Simon of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, and Greg King of the University System of Georgia.  Read more

First Quality to locate new manufacturing facility, create 115 jobs in Macon

The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) today announced that First Quality Packaging Solutions (FQPS), LLC, a leading plastics packaging company, will locate manufacturing operations in Macon, creating 115 jobs and investing $68 million over the next five years.

Candice Scott, project manager of existing industry and regional recruitment at GDEcD, supported the company on behalf of the state of Georgia, along with the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority, Patrick Topping, Senior Vice President of the Macon Economic Development Commission, his board Chairman, Clifford Whitby of Whitby, Inc. and the Georgia Power Company.  Read more…

Brazilian IT service provider to create 400 jobs in Atlanta

Gov. Nathan Deal announced today during an economic development mission to Brazil that Stefanini, a leading global information technology (IT) service provider based in São Paulo, Brazil, will create 400 jobs by the end of 2016 through an expansion of its Atlanta office. Read more…

National Beef to create 200 jobs in Colquitt County

Gov. Nathan Deal announced today that National Beef Packing Company, LLC, a leading beef processing and packing company will expand its operations in Moultrie, creating approximately 200 jobs and roughly $9 million into the expansion.  Michelle Shaw, Regional Project Manager, Existing Industry, in Tifton with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, assisted National Beef on behalf of Georgia and Darrell Moore, President, Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority, was the main contact.  Read more…

FLOWERY BRANCH – One-hundred-and-seventy-five “sweet” new jobs are coming to Georgia according to an announcement made Wednesday by Mars, Incorporated; 155 of them to Hall County, the remainder to Albany.  Tim Evans, Vice President, Economic Development, Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, worked with Wrigley, as did Tammy Caudell, Regional Project Manager, Georgia Department of Economic Development.  Read more…
