You will have access to Callaway Gardens throughout your stay. Be sure to place your access pass on the rear-view window of your car for entrance to Callaway Gardens.
Door prizes will be given on Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.; and on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m.; and 11:45 a.m. You must be seated in the General Session to win a prize.
Business casual is the dress for the workshops and sessions. Dress for the Wednesday Welcome Reception and Station Party is resort wear. Please note that the reception is outside, so wear appropriate shoes for walking on grass. Dress for the Thursday night dinner and dancing is resort wear.
Cottage Check-In: If your reservation is for the Cottages at Callaway, you will proceed to the Mountain Creek Inn where you will receive the keys. Address: 17800 US-27, Pine Mountain, GA 31822
Check-In time for both The Lodge and the Cottages is 4:00 p.m. Check-Out time is noon on the date of your departure for both The Lodge and the Cottages.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Breakfast is included in your registration fee for Thursday and Friday mornings. You will receive two breakfast tickets when you pick up your registration badge. Remember, your invoice must be paid in full before you will receive your badge and meal tickets.
Lunch is on your own unless you registered for one of the four optional Thursday afternoon activities.
Lunch options include:
Wednesday evening, we will host a Welcome Reception with a Station Party on the Longleaf Lawn. Our special guest will be a Bird of Prey from Callaway Gardens. You will have an opportunity to pose for photos with the raptor, so bring your camera or smart phone to Tweet #IAMGEDA photos.
Wear your dancing shoes on Thursday evening for a buffet dinner and dancing with the Contagious Band.
You will receive dinner and drink tickets with your registration badge. Remember, your invoice must be paid in full before you will receive your badge and dinner and drink tickets.
All meals will include vegetarian and gluten-free options as well as beef, chicken, pork or seafood.
If you have specific food restrictions, please let us know in advance.
THURSDAY AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES
Big Red Oak Plantation Sport Clay Shooting: You will have a fresh grilled lunch at the Big Red Oak Plantation before your sport clay shooting excursion. Drive time is approximately 35 minutes. You should depart The Lodge & Spa at Callaway Gardens by 12:15 p.m. Feel free to carpool.
FDR's Little White House & Museum: The bus will depart The Lodge & Spa at 12:08 p.m. en route to the Bulloch House for buffet lunch. Drive time is approximately 20 minutes. Meet your bus on the right (or top) side of the The Lodge & Spa porte cochere. The bus will depart Bulloch House at 1:45 p.m. en route to The Little White House & Museum. Your guided tour will last approximately three hours. The bus will depart The Little White House at 5:00 p.m. for your return trip to The Lodge. Your tour captain is Jane Fryer of the Meriwether County Development Authority.
Golf: You will play golf on the Callaway Gardens Lakeview Course. Please pick up your box lunch with drink in the Longleaf Pre-function area before you drive to the golf course. You are welcome to lunch on the patio at The Lodge. Feel free to carpool. You should arrive at the Golf Clubhouse by 1:00 p.m.
SOLD OUT KIA and Powertech Plant Tours: The motor coach bus will depart The Lodge & Spa at 12:08 p.m. en route to the KIA and Powertech plants. Drive time is approximately 45 minutes. Meet your bus on the left (or lower) side of the The Lodge & Spa porte cochere. The bus will return to The Lodge & Spa around 5:30 p.m. Your tour captain is E Jane Caraway from the Georgia Department of Economic Department. She will provide specific instructions en route. Your box lunch will be on the bus.
