Deal: Suniva expansion to create 500 jobs
Leading manufacturer to invest $96M in Gwinnett Co. facility
ATLANTA, September 9, 2015—Gov. Nathan Deal announced today that Suniva Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells and modules, will expand its facilities and invest $96 million in Gwinnett County. Operating at full capacity, the expanded facility in Norcross will create up to 500 jobs.
Headquartered in Norcross, Suniva will expand existing facilities to support the increase in the production capacity of solar cells. The $96 million investment will primarily go to the construction of facilities and new equipment. New jobs at the expanded facility include management, administrative, supervisory and production positions.
Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) Director of Existing Industry & Regional Recruitment Lindsay Martin supported Suniva on behalf of the state of Georgia in partnering with Nick Masino, Senior Vice President of Economic Development, and Andrew Carnes, Director of Economic Development, with the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and Lauren Lambias with the Georgia Power Company.
Coastal Meats to bring 115 jobs to Louisville
New company to invest $15 million in Jefferson County venture

BOEING TO CREATE UP TO 200 NEW JOBS IN MACON-BIBB COUNTY
Retrofit existing facility for manufacturing of vital 747-8 fuselage panels
Commissioner Chris Carr, local Macon-Bibb leaders and executives from The Boeing Company, Inc. announced today that Boeing Commercial Airplanes (a business unit of The Boeing Company, Inc.) will invest $81.7 million to retrofit and equip their existing defense-related facility in Macon-Bibb County for the manufacturing of 747-8 fuselage panels, creating up to 200 new jobs over the next three years. Boeing is the world’s largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial, business and defense jets and space security systems. The facility is located in the Macon-Bibb County Airport Industrial Park.

Deal: Sandler AG to create more than 140 jobs in Houston County
German-based textile supplier to invest more than $30 million
ATLANTA, September 24, 2015—Gov. Nathan Deal announced today during an economic development mission to Germany that Sandler AG, a German textile supplier, will complete construction of a manufacturing plant in Warner Robins. This represents an investment of more than $30 million and will create more than 140 new jobs in Houston County.
Sandler is a privately-held, family-owned company that supplies textiles to international manufacturers, including a number of American Fortune 500 companies. The new Georgia facility will function as a production plant, warehouse and base for national sales and distribution. Sandler will begin recruiting employees and filling jobs for the facility in early 2016.
